Honor the Fallen

Well, another long hiatus. This time,I'll try to write as much as I can

For the past week,I have

-concluded that I don't enjoy grade 12 so far
-played Bioshock
-finished Macbeth
-watched "An Inconvenient Truth" starring the oh-so-super-eco-warrior Al Gore
-Watched a Macbeth modern retelling
-did experiments
-been annoyed with a certain mega-egoed bastard.
-found out GCE results are out(and I wasn't there, duhhhh XD)
-been on the receiving end of "stereotypings" (you know what I mean.If you don't,clue: car _ _ _ _,take out the "e" and replace it with "ist")

Now,in no particular order, let me begin....

Maths, one I loathe, yet I score, and now I'm like a frog in a well.Well, just the "trying to get out" part.Sine and cosine rule have returned to haunt me again, and as a result I have decided to attempt to practice as often as I can.And as you can see,I have so far been unsuccessful due to a certain word called "procrastination".

Bio,Bird's beginning to creep me out.Didn't expect to do a dissection on a rat.A RAT!!Poor thing.we haven't done it yet,but I'll try and opt out of it.

Chem, already a report needs to be done.Due date?25/3....Involves batteries.Talked to WJ about the elements.Need suggestions for the best and most stable combination without imploding (unless you hate me dearly :D).So far I'm leaning on barium and flouride or lithium and silver.

Eng,like I said,is all about Macbeth.Finished book,ain't too bad,probably 3.5 stars.Movie's a bit weird.I mean,WHAT'S WITH THE "PIGS WILL FLY" SINGING??!!Still,3 stars....no,not Michelin stars,I mean rating out of 5....

Geo,still ok,enough said......XD

There's a swimming carnival on wednesday, and I CAN'T SWIM.Yes,I know, disgraceful, but hey,I'm not a Baywatch hunk saving a damsel in distress who's all trapped in the ocean and there's sharks around.Still, did you know playing dead actually is better than swimming when there's sharks around?Mhmm XD.

Tennis, still looking solid. My doubles partner Yuki came back from a long layoff.I didn't expect too much of him and wasn't surprised when he lost the 1st set 1-6.He didn't play too bad for a person who's been on hiatus for like a month or so.Still, although he showed some frustration which I've rarely seen before,he slowly picked up where he left off and took the 2nd set 6-3(no 3rd set under this weird format),making the opponent swear at every point he lost. Then we teamed up in doubles and won 6-2.However,it wasn't without controversy.I hit an easy smash(seriously,so easy a girl with no experience in holding a racket could do it) which would have been wayy out had it not smack right at the kidney area of the player, which made me feel a little guilty. My point, but my loss.Yuki served a wild one on match point with nearly got the player at the net(same player I accidentally smashed the ball) which resulted in a barely audible "^&*ing *s*ans did it twice" and didn't shook hands. Now,I don't like being stereotyped, but that's not the end of the day(won my singles 6-1 6-0).On the way home couple of NC rugby goons were cramped on a little silver Echo and shouted out "#$%^ing *S*AN!!".So yeahh, clearly this nation has issues, but what could be done? The Indian murders,to which the Victorian Police replied without hestitation"We are not a **c*st country".Yes,I understand that the country isn't,but some people do take things a little too far,no?I'm not calling anyone **c*sts,I prefer stereotyping as it is a "cleaner" word, but still,I'm sitting on the fence. No one wants Humpty Dumpty to have a great fall.Well, for your information,I know that some are from a certain region, yet speak english with no traces from that certain region of the world, and are very fortunate to have skin tones that enable them to avoid being targets.Too bad I ain't one of them.My accent suggests that I ain't no ordinary Chinaman with some funky hairstyle with a brown dye complete with glasses and a tendency to sleep(FYI,I have no idea what accent I have......),but to those who don't know me,they still classify me as one of the "invading foreigners" (as some may call it).I guess here's one of the places where books are sometimes judged by their covers....

Finally, the last part, and I suppose I haven't talked a bout a certain mega-egoed bastard. Now,he's a tennis player as well, better than me without a doubt. But what irks me is that he's got a trashmouth to go with his "I'm like Muhammad Ali,float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" look(even has an earring. If you're paying a homage to Tsonga,I suggest you stop.Disgraceful....I mean, you're nothing like Jo).First of all,he dances around me,mocking my loss against an ex-Nudgee who went to S'pore (and I was favored to win) continously.Hey,my loss,I've gotta learn from that.Mock me all you want,it's a lesson I've learnt.

We traded our scores, and found out that he scored a draw against his opponent (6-1 4-6)which,after discussing with some fellow peers, should have been an easy win for him if it weren't for him toying around. And he was like "look,I gave him a 1-5 lead".Mmmm yeah sure..Too bad then, unlike my loss, which I took my foot off, which costed me,the other guy didn't.So it is logical that the other guy definitely deserves the set and even the whole match.

guess what he replied when he knew my score "Your opponent's retarded".SAY WHAT??!!I PRACTICALLY PLAYED IN THE SAME DIVISION YOU WERE IN.First of all, although my oponent was somehow deflated,HE'S NOT RETARDED.WHAT'S THE POINT OF SHAKING HANDS AT THE END THEN??!!In my opinion, there's a part of tennis called honor.Respect should be shown towards your opponents on the other side of the court.Like it or not,one should be beaten by another at full strength(unless there's certain crcumstances....).Now that's honor.Come August,if that honor is absent,I have no idea what you are going to do.You may beat me as bad or play as crappy as you like in doing so,but you're not going to get support from me as much as the others.

well, one more thing. If one loses to a girl in a match,it may mean two things : You seriously like her,or you just had a bad day.... That's what happened to another person I know who lost to a girl I know (and also is in the same group in Friday training).I'll say the latter....
