If Everyone Cared

SO SORRY FOR THE LONG BREAK.I was kind of busy with school stuff.Don't worry about me having some emotional outburst today :D because so far,school's good,life's ok and the movies I watch kept me in a good mood.THERE IS something I don't particularly like,it's just I'm kind of fed up with it(not angry,just rolling my eyes around my socket).

Now,school.2nd semester started on Monday and I don't really like my haircut this time...It's kind of like Arnie-style(not fully defined).And to make things worse,I'VE GOT PHOTO TAKING.NOOOOOOOOO!!I never look good on camera.So yeahh,I practically didn't show my teeth,and for those who know me well as kind of a sad person,I think I gave a smile,not so wide,and with my eyes calm and a little twinkle....I WON'T PUT IT ON MY DISPLAY PICTURE ON MSN!!!Sorry :D.Besides that,school's under renovation,and now my classes are all over the place.More exercise=goody Less time to talk=Grr...Not going much to the library nowadays...feel like I'm done with romance novels (for now) and just trying to stay in shape...

I'll probably skip the nonsense details and move on to the next thing I'm gonna talk about:My polls.Good thing:They're gonna be more often Bad thing:Some of you might won't like it.

Pretty short,eh?Well,I'm going straight to the latest movie(s) I watched.Ok,I want you to guess:Eminem's film debut(AND ONLY ONE TO DATE if I'm not wrong),has my favourite Lil' Slim Shady song(Lose Yourself),critics gave it good ratings,opened in 2002,grossed U$51 million in it's first week,2nd highest ever for a music artist(I know it's a 2nd in something) and contains a good cast as well as various cameos including Xzibit and LL Cool J,and I think Will Smith as well(it looked like him in the 1st scene).Now,DON'T LOOK YET,because you don't know the answer...Clue:It's a highway connected to Detroit.*sigh*Don't know?OK,I give up :D

Starring:Eminem(a.k.a Marshall Mathers III),Brittany Murphy,Kim Basinger
The plot:A young man tries to make ends meet (for his mum who's getting evicted) in the mean streets of Detroit,taking part in rap battles,being manipulated,finding out and dealing with it,as well as finding love and desperately holding on to the one thing he doesn't want to give up:music.

The film is STRICTLY for mature audiences(I count,don't I?) and by that I mean bad word are mouthed,bad examples(guns)and a little racism,surprisingly not towards the main targets(you know....)

Honestly,this is the polar opposite of everybody's favourite(and also most ridiculous?)cheer up musical,HSM.Dark,realistic(Detroit City yooo) and tense,it's wayy better than any musical in history(by history I mean from 1970's onwards.Take that,John Travolta...XD).Eminem is SUPERB playing the main character,Rabbit(hip-hop...) who bad-mouths(I forgot to mention the f-word was heard for like 100 times or so from everyone in the film),chills out and jerks out the tears in the whole film.In case you guys didn't notice,the whole film was like trying to set uo the making of "Lose Yourself"(no.34 most influencial song of all time and No.1 since 2000s).Brittany Murphy is EXTREMELY SAUCY(ahem...) as Alice,who aspires to be a book writer and wants to pursue her career in New York.Alice met Rabbit at the factory where he was working and at one time he was mad at his boss when the boss refused his offer to show Alice around.As a result,Rabbit flashed a middle finger(as well as his thumb) and it so happens Alice saw it,misunderstood,and returned the gestureXD.Strange 1st meeting.I don't like to say this,but she DID something with Eminem in the factory AS WELL AS Eminem's friend-turned enemy gang member in some broadcasting office(not shown,of course,but acted out).But still,sporting a rocking hairstyle as well as a "catch me if you can" attitude,Murphy kind of caught me offguard(she tends to be in comedies).And Kim Basinger:WOW!Great comeback from the veteran actress.Angelina Jolie,watch out XD....

From start to finish I was anticipating the best,and the best was better than what I had expected.Like,in the 1st rap battle,he choked(part of the song lyrics as well) and was booed.In the end,they others tried to make him choke again,and this time....he gave them a taste of their own medicine.The enemy gang mainly focused on his friend,who,dumbly enough,took a pistol out and fired a warning shot during an earlier scene which showed a fight between the gangs and shot himself in the *bleep*.

The ending was by far one of the best.Not the love story you hoped for.Alice left,but not before watching Rabbit beat Papa Doc(enemy gang champ)to win the rap competition.Rabbit's gained the favour of his boss,mom's not evicted as she won U$3200 in Bingo....As for Rabbit,his friends wondered after he won the battle whether he'll participate in music again.The response.......*music starts*he turns around,friends were silent,but understood,peace out.....no more music.....black screen...."If you had........one shot.........one opportunity.....to seize everything you ever wanted.....One moment....would you capture it?....OR JUST LET IT SLIP...."You know,I finished watching it at 2am in the morning as was still super-hyped(coffee....)

Anyways enough of my long bad review which was supposed to be interesting,andddddd......WAIT WAIT!!GRRRR!!I suppose you guys know that this is something I might be really good at,but I think it's time interhouse becomes history....Yep,it's on this year here,AND IT'S COMPULSORY...*sigh*Time to don the shoes once more?Or leave it for good,just give some bad performance...hmm....

Last but not least,I have to say I AM WORRIED about the situation of the flu pandemic which is currently affecting my ex-country(doesn't mean I'll accept Aussies here...).I've just got some news that one of my favourite cub scouts(I'd love to call them my kids),Mark,apparently was infected and is currently in the hospital for treatment.All I wanna say is get well soon.I've never seen you do any wrong around,buddy,and I'm sure you'll be blessed with safety.To all the others,stay strong.

Anyways,that's all for now,I'm gonna practiced tennis at 6.30am tomorrow so I'm gonna crash.Godspeed.
